Hypnosis refers to a state or condition in which a person becomes highly responsive to suggestions. The hypnotized individual follows a set of instructions in an uncritical, automatic fashion and attends closely only to those aspects of the environment made relevant by the hypnotist. Memory and awareness of self can be altered by suggestions given to the hypnotized person.
The concept of a "virtual gastric band" for weight loss, using hypnosis, has been around for a few years now. Most people who follow a traditional dieting system will lose weight while they are on that diet, but as soon as the diet stops, the weight invariably returns, often leaving them heavier than before the diet began! It is estimated that 95% of all people who diet experience this cycle.
Most diets include some form of deprivation and/or denial; some involve counting calories, or points, but all merely serve to program the mind to think about food. Thus, when an individual gives up a diet, they will find themselves thinking about food than they ever did before!
In the denial of comfort foods, in eating different meals to the rest of the family, three things happen: the brain fights against it, the body fights against it, and the day to day environment fights against it.

This program enables you to form new habits that you can maintain; thee is not deprivation and through this, you are liberated from having to think about food all the time. You eat consciously, and are able to listen to what your stomach is telling you.

The program consists of 4 hypnosis sessions and 2 mp3s and are conducted over a six week period. The first two sessions are completed within the first two weeks, the 3rd session is completed in week four, and the 4th session is completed in week 6.
The first session is approximately 1 1/2 hours and subsequent hypnosis sessions are 1 hour.
The four sessions are designed to bring about a permanent change in your eating habits, and focus on the person that you want to be.
This is not a short term fix as creating new habits - to get you where you want to be and enable you to remain there - will generally take 28 days.
The program includes a support MP3 that you need to listen to on a daily basis, which will reinforce the new messages that will bring about a permanent change in your eating behavior (this is an important part of the program). You will also receive a personalized MP3 at the end of the program. If further sessions are requested at a later time to "tighten" up the band, they will be completed at 50% off normal rates.
The program uses non-surgical techniques using hypnosis to retrain the client to be satisfied with smaller portions of food. Clinical hypnotherapy convinces the mind that the stomach is full after a smaller amount and there is no desire to eat more.
A Virtual Gastric Band is like "flicking a switch in the brain". It changes a person's attitude towards food and helps them regain control over cravings and bad habits. Feedback shows increased willpower and no need for the person to deprive themselves of the food they enjoy. Weight loss is natural and consistent without dieting and clients typically loose 20 - 30 lbs on the program.
